Peter and Pat have been fly fishermen and fly-tiers for most of their lives and have developed many skills in both areas; they have spent years studding not only trout’s behaviours and environments but also the behaviours and approaches of the anglers from all walks of life. Peter and Pat have both travelled to many sporting destinations across the World for pleasure, to learn and also to compete for their country in the World and European finals on a number of occasions. Both anglers have strived to perfect their abilities in fly fishing and fly-tying. Over the years both anglers have travelled to many countries such as Poland, Sweden, Norway, USA, Czech Republic, Portugal, France, Scotland among others and have learned from some of the world's most prolific fly fisher men. During their travels Peter and Pat did not only study methods and approaches to catching fish but also they learned the importance to having and being able to obtain the correct and quality fly tying materials.
Bringing home this wealth of information and sharing it to their fellow anglers the company Irish Fly-tying.com began to grow and the angler’s demands for better fly-tying equipment at a reasonable price also grew. Irish Fly-tying is based in the Wicklow hills in a village called Rathdrum. Pat and Peter began this company to offer the angler the opportunity to have access to a large and quality stock of fly-tying materials for their customers and their ever expanding development into fly-tying and fly-fishing for all spices of fish.
